Hello all,

i have an annoying problem with attachments since i´ve upgraded to 8.0. I'm used to save attachements somewhere in the filesystem (not really somewhere, but on defined places ;-) ) and then delete the attachment in the email to keep the mail database slim. I use either

- drag-and-drop the attachment and then delete all attachments

- save-and-delete all attachements

followed by either save-in-current or save-in-folder (i´m not sure what the exact naming of these functions is, i´m using the german version of the database)

Whenever there are more than one documents and i use save-and-delete-all or delete-all then the attachments are deleted from the email. After saving the email it still keeps the very same size (but not having/showing the attachments anymore).

When i delete the attachments each by each the size of the stored email is reduced accordingly.

- Have i overlooked any settings?
- How can i reduce the space occupied by such emails with nonexistent attachments? Have tried the "fixup" tool with no success.

Currently running Client V8.5.1 FP2 on XP / Domino V8.0.1 on W2K server
